What does an average 4500 mile interval service (i.e. oil change) cost??

It's one of those annoying things which have prevented me ever looking closely at buying an Evo 7/8.

Yep, you got that right. I should never have sold the Chimaera, it was an awesome car. Just fancy something loony like an Evo now, which can take the abuse i'd throw at it...unlike TVR's!

Evo's are astonishing cars & each new version seems to merit real world improvements. They seem quite highly strung so the short(4500mile)service interval makes much sense.Ask many questions about the clutch,I've known a couple of ppl with Evo VI's that have experienced regular clutch failiure,-one went thru 3 uprated units in a year!.

Although, if you want the TVR fun (i.e. power and rwd) and TVR beauty you should get a 3rd gen RX-7...

Not as unreliable as people make out and one with a rebuilt engine would only set you back ~8.5k for a 92/93 or 13k for a 96-99 model...

Iain

PS. I'm not in any way biased...

Awesome cars, what Gazboy says is true, an FQ300 would match a 500 in a straight line and leave it for dead if any cornering is involved. Having driven an Evo 6.5 Makinen and an Evo 7 my only critism (if you can call it that) is that is was just all a bit easy and after a while you may hanker for a car that takes a bit more time to learn.

Or you could give Noble a try
