Is this Evo a Good Price?
Discussion
Hi guys...what's your thoughts on this 2005 model?

Is there anything that can go badly wrong on a car of this age? Would I be better spending more on a newer example or does the low mileage of the car above level things out in terms of risk?
I'm used to buying new so a second hand purchase - especially for a high performance car - makes me a tad nervous. Any advice appreciated.

The easiest EVO to live with on a daily basis partly because it's not as hardcore.Don't care what anyone says, this one has the right gearbox too!
And for what it's worth I was offered this car because it's in exceptional condition, I just can't really justify another car of the same type!
I prefer the silver to most of the other colours that the X was offered in.

Hi Don, recently found out it doesn't have a reach adjustable steering wheel. I'm 6 foot 4 and would need my seat quite a bit back due to my long legs so driving position could be an issue if I can't bring the wheel closer to me.
Now that is a fly in the ointment, normally I'd suggest a nice aftermarket steering wheel with a Sparco or OMP extension but I'm not sure how easy that is on a XMartin_M said:
I know, tbh I wouldn't like to get rid of the airbag but I was pretty disappointed to find out it adjusts for rake only...back to the drawing board!
My 6 has no airbag because I changed the wheel but I totally understand, for me I'd like the wheel to adjust more steeply, it's always been a bit flatter / lower than I'd like!Gassing Station | Japanese Chat | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
