Just drove him (him.. or is she a her..?) back from London. ONly took three hours. * Sigh * Still.. really nice car!! Seats much nicer than Golf's so slooooowww journey not too bad :

Pretty sweet condition. Few little things I want to do - get the chassis treated for a start - but very pleased with him. Her. Him.

Regards, Ed

ta very much. Cost me a bit more than yours went for, but I attacked it with a 'ahh what the heck' attitude. Now.. about all those bits you've got lying around.....?

Waiting to get insurance docs through so can tax him. Little scamp. Was hard leaving him sitting there at home this fine, blue sky morning.

Expect 1,001 questions posted up here from me, over the next few weeks. In fact, come to mention it.....chassis...

Looks like you wont be needing any bits for a while, but if you do, I will be having a January sale.
Now get it T&T'd and get driving.

Are you sure??
When I woke up this morning I tripped over a firewall carpet, and trod on a set of seatbelts. Bloody painful I can tell you. Then had to clear a set of rocker covers from the shower.

The buyer of the "Flaming Pidgeon" as it was known (due to bonnet badge) didn't actually take anything, but a guy came round from the MK1 Owners club and cleared a fair amount of interior bits. Its manily exterior bits, an engine, and a grotty old shell left.

I'm kinda looking for some odds and sods for mine. Need a radio fascia (bollocksed my radio install), post revision ashtray (broke the lid off thanks to the snooper power cable) and possibly a working original antenna if i can find one...
