GT86 Used Prices
Discussion
I've been following the prices of used GT86s for the last 6 months with a view to buying an early model next spring. However, the cheapest dealer prices refuse to drop much below £17000.
Has anyone bough a 2nd hand car recently and is £17000 a realistic price or on the optomisitc side, especialy as a brand new car can be had for £21k https://www.broadspeed.com/CarView/Toyota/GT86/333...
Given the view in GG that they are underpowered, and ugly surely the dealers should be paying me to take one of their hands

Nearly new BRZ for £17k and I bet you could knock a bit off that too.

Spring 2015 is a long way off, price wise - you may get lucky. The early adopters who shelled out the thick end of £27k have 'lost' £5,000 p.a. which seems reasonable, given current conditions. £5,000 a year has been good value for money, for me anyway.
I've been looking at these too and although they 'seem' to be holding their value, very few are actually selling. I'm based in the south east and all the cars I looked at 2 months ago are still for sale. Given the rumours of a facelift, broker discounts and the number of cars coming to the end of their 3 year finance deals I recon these will drop quite a bit in the next few months.
