MK2 MR2 not running right after dizzy exploded...

Hi all.

96 MR2. UK car.

Had the rotor arm grenade itself and the cap. I didn't know what had happened and turned it over a few times out of frustration.

So, replaced cap and rotor arm.

The issue now is that it starts really bad if left a while, and doesn't rev past 4.5k, and up to that point it flat as....

The timing is spot on, this has been checked and confirmed.

Please please provide any ideas.

Hi,

Do you know if the HT leads are OK? If you Google you can find the residti tollerances for them.

I would check the Coil/Ignitor. They are prone to cracking and let moisture in. It's located in the engine bay, under the engine fuse box on the engine/boot firewall.
