Downpipe ---- grrrrrr
Discussion
Bastard *%$*ing car.
Cat ripped off. Snapped all the studs.
Downpipe doesn't fit. Turbo side has been welded off centre, and one of the bolts is simply impossible to get in.
So, can't replace the cat. Can't fit the downpipe.
HSR to the rescue. 2.75" HSR pipe being couriered to my mechanic for Saturday morning. Then stick it on and rush the car to the suspension guy for Saturday afternoon and Sundays suspension rebuild fun.
I don't need this.
Why is *nothing* on this car easy?

HyperSports Racing downpipe turned up this morning. 25 minutes to fit. Good bit of kit.
We now have flames on full bore upshifts and apparently no boost creep.
Happy bunny.
I'd be out driving it, but it currently has no wheels attached. Or shocks and springs come to that.
Results soon.

Flamage is good, very good. THe FD runs 'a bit rich' so 2 foot + flames (no cat) are a matter of course
Great way of getting wakners to drop back from your tail a bit too...
The Four also runs a 'bit rich'.
But, only flames on half decent turbo application. At which point said w*nkers are no longer close enough.....

It seems they all(Jap performance imports)seem to run a bit rich,'which is nice...' for flamin'& safer RR days .R33 likes to spit the odd one out, usually when backing off, after a decent amount of load.Superb anti-tailgating device.
Flamer kits, crap or cool? not my personal cup of tea.

Deffo naff - nearly crashed driving up to JAE this year - crashed because I was laughing so hard...
Convoy of LS200s approaching Toddington. I'd been making progress and as I approached them, slowed down and pulled into the left lane. Lexus at the back starts dribbling flame (too pathetic to be spouting) while maintaining 70mph. Looked more like a bunsen burner with the air flow cut off than real flames.
I tend to get the best flames on overrun but occasionally on high-load gear changes. Overrun, as noted ^, is the one useful for removing tailgaters!
