you don't have too, but without the remap, all you will get is a different noise.

When remapped they can increase fuelling and give you pops and bangs on overrun !!
Better air intake & better exhaust, help the flow in and out of the engine, allowing increased fuelling with air to match and optimum power

I am not too familiar with that engine/car, but decat always brings up a caution flag for me. Id do a lot of research before performing this mod. Some modern engines are designed to keep the exhaust valve open for an extended amount of time to keep a bit of the exhaust gasses in the cylinder (for emissions reasons). If you remove too much of the backpressure from the exhaust on an engine with this design, you will drop your compression (and effectively loose power and throttle response). It might result in higher peek power, but reduce the power band. Id spend a little time trying to find dyno charts before performing this mod.
