Hello, apologies for todays posting frenzy!

Hiya, joined the forum a while back, but not been active...most of the scooby stuff is better represented on other forums, but I'm getting a bit tired of scoobynet to be honest.
Car history is ... well loads of Impreza's, I don't tune them though, just bought fatster ones as money permitted
Love cars, change them far too often though LOL

Hi Dave.
It's hard to compare to be honest, my last couple Scoobs have been 300bhp/300ftlb cars and manual. The Forester on the other hand is 178bhp and an auto, running skinny high profile tyres.
As the driving experience goes...well it certainly isn't a sportscar. I understand you can fit the STI rear antiroll bar to stiffen things up, and the PPP/Ecutek/exhaust route is always open...but physics demand the Forester, with it's greater mass and higher CoG just isn't going to match the Impreza.
I found it a *nice* family car, leather, heated seats, mahoosive sunroof. But horrible autobox, horrendous MPG..I can match it in urban driving with either the 911 or the 22B....but thats probably because I spent the whole time with the throttle wide open in it trying to get some performance.
Boring bits like build quality seemed ahead of the Impreza...the Forester always seems one generation ahead of the Impreza on interiors (new 2.5litre Forester again much nicer than this years WRX)
To be honest though..I wish I'd have got a Diesel instead (bear in mind I have 2 fun cars to use at the weekend). Some guys however mod the forester and swear by them...extra space, extra height they like...
me, I'm looking forward to the Audi which is replacing it

No doubt Litchfields T25 is the better performing car, but for me the 22B is still the ultimate in scoob driving experience. I've had 2 new age cars, and to be honest they are too refined, too heavy, too inert for me, I love the rawness and focus of the 22 . Saying that I haven't driven the T25, but I'm quite happy with the 22 thanks! LOL
It's a very different car to the C4S, the 22 is soo much more raw, you feel like you're doing a ton when doing 70, 911 you don't get any sensation of speed until you hit the twisties. Both cars are great, 911 has it on the steering feel, 22 has it on sub-80 acceleration and brake feel (I fitted uprated brakes n hoses) NA 325bhp 3.6 litre versus turbocharged 305bhp 2.2 litre...throttle response fairly similar...but 911 is driven on revs and BHP, 22 is all about a fat torque curve...both are 'adequate' on streetlight grand prix
I was never tempted to sell the 22 and buy the 911 turbo instead(would have been cheaper than running these two LOL) much to the annoyance of the 911 clan who generally don't get the jap turbo nutter thing.
