I am considering buying on of these when I'm bored with my Isuzu Vehi-Cross as I'm going to have to do a fair few long distance journeys over the next four years, each of which will be a 400 mile journey there and back in a day so I need a smooth luxo barge with cooling seats etc.
I've seen a couple and have been very impressed and reports on them are all very good. I have been through the whole Merc AMG thing and have decided the LS600h is for me.
First in its favour is it escapes the road tax rip off and it would appear £500 a year on servicing is about normal.
Has anyone run one long term and is there anything that the salesman hasn't told me.

Sorry I know nothing about the LS600h, but my 12 year old LS430 was absolutely f*cking ace as a mile muncher and was boringly reliable as hell.

Not the best drivers car, but who gives a toss, it was supremely comfortable and nice place to be. I once drove from Halifax to the Dordogne and got out feeling fine, tired, but no aches and pains.

Thanks for the reply, I agree not exactly a drivers car although the way the one I tried accelerated was something to behold no noise just the sensation of a rush of speed. Just hope their anonymous looks doesn't attract too many people getting interested in them, at least until I buy the one I want.

If you're after a big, extremely comfortable cruiser with lots of toys, buy it. If you can think of a useful toy it will more than likely have it.

Big service at 60000miles (or 6years) as it is a spark plug replacement and they are awkward to do and take between 1.5-2 hours to do plus you have 3 differentials to drain and refill with oil that isn't cheap. So if you can well and truly afford to run one then I highly doubt you will regret it.

Very understated as well and quicker than you would think an almost 3 ton (if you get the 600HL) car to get to 60 and excellent for overtaking with the instant torque from the electric motors.

Do it!

As my budget is around £20-30K a number are around 60K miles some of which have had the six year 60K service which includes a cam belt done worth noting the cost of this for a car nearing 60K miles.
I do have another car for blasting around country lanes and track days so this is very much bought purely as a luxo barge might even go for massaging seats in the rear to amuse my pervy mates.

No cambelt on the 600s. Chain driven.

Nobody told me that but it figures considering the standard of construction.
