Hey Fellas,

Been looking at R35 GTR's - everyone has been really helpful!

Just wondering about Litchfield? Heard a lot of good things about them - can anyone let me know about their experiences or whose the best guy/girl to speak to who would be able to answer my questions?

Cheers!

Iain is the owner ,and they are at the cutting edge of gtr enhancements and knowledge of the cars from 2009 to present day 2014 cars. servicing, tuning, and warranties are some of there offerings.

Litchfield is a very good company and Iain is one of the nicest guys you could meet, always very helpful and has a huge knowledge built up over many years working with GTRs. He is very busy however and sometimes it is quite difficult to get hold of him however he will help you out with any enquiries you may have.
It is also worth getting on to the forum gtr.co.uk as there are many knowledgeable members on there also.

Cheers Fellas, appreciate the advice. I've heard good things about them, but I've never really done anything unless its dealer approved.

I'm guessing Litchfield is actually more versed in the GTR compared to Nissan UK - so it'll probably be better to deal with them compared to dealers.

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find a car which hasn't been tuned though!

That's because they are so much better tuned! Stage 4 is the sweet spot, about 630bhp, still perfectly tractable around town, still reasonable MPG and can do 0-60 under 3 secs and no reliability issues due to the tuning.

GTR insurance is very reasonable, mine is cheaper than my Evo IX. The mods seem to make very little difference to the cost. Several GTR owners with modded cars are paying under £600 fully comp. I have a multicar policy with admiral which
has the Evo and the GTR on it for under £800 but I'm a more mature owner! Try Admiral, Elephant or Sky for a quote, they seem to be the cheapest.

My Stage 4 with all mods declared costs be £580 fully comp with a £500 excess and a 5k mileage limit - track cover can be added for a notional fee when required.

I have never delt with Litchfield but my 2011 GTR is Litchfield stage 4 and i can't speak highly enough of it, can't stop thinking about going stage 5. The insurance is also £50 cheaper then it was on my 2010 Mercedes E63. thumbup

Alright Fellas,

Thanks a lot for all the advice - really been extremely helpful. If I'm honest I think I'm going to wait for a bit more, I'm very happy with my Scirocco right now and I want to wait for the MY11 to depreciate a bit more then I'll get one.

Plus one more year of finding the perfect car is never a bad thing - Ian is great, very helpful and brief conversations we had he told me to ring him if I had anymore questions, good guy!
