hmm.. very much interested to hear your opinions abou the S2K.. particularly compared to the 'lis and M Coupe, as all three have been nominated in my £15k car thread...
what year is you S2K? and have you tried one of the revised (supposedly with great improvement) '02, or even '04 cars ??
are the changes made to the later cars retro-fitable?

I'd definately so far reccommend the S2000, it's a bit hard to compare so far because I've only done a few hundred miles. Also i've been taking it easy, because of the tyre differences on my car.
Compared to the elise, it's obviously very different but shares the fact that their both designed for driving.
Interior is awesome with everything you need in your face & the speedo/rev gauge is easy to read.
The ride is less harsh, but not that much. Still feel a lot. Steering I'm finding is quite vague & the S feels much bigger. Gotta remember i'm comparing to a elise though Best steering ever
Brake wise it's nice to have ABS again as I never really got on with the elise ones (always wanted to upgrade). The car doesn't seem to tramline or skip over bumps under hard braking.
Gearbox is so close it's unbelievable, right bastard when cold though. But one warmed up it's awesome, it's also quite loud though as is the clutch. But my car's the 99 version & it's well known for this.
My elise had far from the best of gearchanges so it's a definate improvement.
The roof is brilliant, so quick & easy & makes it possible to enjoy 'topdown' everyday. In the elise I just used to take it off & go ut for the whole day.
Can't really do it for the way to work etc..
It's also got loads of room in the boot, even with roof off.
The engine brilliant, the car's not as quick as I've had but it's so much fun getting there. It really is quite manic trying to keep it 5/6K up.
You do need to though as there is zero torque down low. Could be a bit annoying on motorway, just needs a bit more planning. Again just another chance to get it to wail. & if you get one, get a Sports exhaust.
Mine was 99/V 43K, FHSH, Bodykit, Cd changer, 3 owners, Private plate £13,750 & it's £250 for a Honda extended warranty if car's have FHSH.
Insurance went up £250 from the elise.
I love it to bits so far.

I'd have thought you would be looking at LHD's for £15K though
