Toyota Celica Gen7 Retrofit OEM spoiler

I've bought a Gen7 Celica, and although I don't want to stick half of halfords on it, and I don't want it to look too Barry, I'd really like to put an OEM rear spoiler on.
I know that the weak point here is the boot struts, but I'm just wondering how feasible it is to retrofit it aside from the boot strut issue. I should have just bought one with it on, but this one came up at the right price, in the right colour, with Parrot etc already fitted.
I can get a second hand one from eBay - what fittings do they require? Are the fittings generally available? Will it be waterproof after it's done?
