I've always fancied a gtr but I really don't like t the idea of it auto blipping downshifts even on leisurly Sunday evening drives. Does normal mode allow for normal downshifts with no autoblip?

You only really notice it in race mode

How else would it do it? Why would they develop it so that it doesn't rev match and instead drags the revs up with the clutch? It's surely already the perfect gear change!

I get it in r mode, that's exactly what you'd want.

I know too that in auto it won't auto blip.

I'd just hoped that there was a similar mode for manual. Apparently not.

It only blips when changing diwn in manual mode and only to match the revs to road speed if you are changing down at a high(ish) rpm.

If you are changing down from 4th to 2nd at sub 30 mph for example it wont blip.

I personally love blipping down the gears, particularly if you have exhaust mods.

DRM (downshift rev matching) is one of the plus points of the car! The gearbox is amazing, it just seems normal now but the first time I drove a GT-R it was mind blowing feeling the double clutch gear changes. Having come from a flappy paddle SL55 there is no comparison in awesomeness, it blows the SL away!

+1 why would you complain, it protects the clutch and stability of the car and sounds cool lol

If you drive it in "Save" mode for the gearbox and are not going for it, it doesn't really blip. I think if you're looking for a relaxing ride the gearbox is the least of your issues

I don't understand why rev matching would make it any less relaxing anyway, the opposite is surely true.
