MR2 Wheel bearing
Discussion
got a slightly rumbly wheel bearing (I presume) on my Rev 5 Mk2. Usual test shows it to be OS, noisy when turning left, quieter when unloaded.
However - with the wheels off, turning the hubs is not very obvious which one it is. Any suggestions on how to determine, without stripping it all out?
Obviously I'd prefer it to be the front!
How hard are they to change, is it a press in/out job?

Check your top mounts. (Top bit of the suspension) usually it's there is noise when turning it's that.
Also if you are changing anything, do it as a pair.
If you are close to London I recommend you go to Pacific Works. I was there last week and one customer came in saying his "local" garage said he needed a new steering rack because of noises during loads.
Turned out the topmount on driver's side on his coilover was loose. Think how much money he saved.
Getting to someone who knows about MR2s to check it out for piece of mind.
