best straight line speed comparison is at 3 minutes in. It might not look it but that's both cars flat out from around 60mph - 130mph.

GTR was standard all the buttons set to 'race'.

Love it, those are the two cars that are still on my wish-list.......waiting for the used prices to drop !!

Doesnt really solve my dilema tho as it appears, GTR has more straight grunt, Lotus has nimble handling

The Lotus was in a different league on the track to be honest, but to be fair to the GTR this is a V6 Cup which is a lighter Lotus Motorsport trackday special. A GTR can set quick times but you really have to bully them out of it. That's made harder when you have the replacement cost of tyres buzzing around your head! It will easily shred a set in a single dry trackday if driven like its maker intended. The Exige is a total natural on the track, feels completely at home there. Tyres and brakes keep asking for more.

But the GTR is the original Supercar slayer, definitely a step-up in performance for road use and long distance runs.
