Hi all,

Hopefully you're fairly familiar with a particularly grotty old Civic by now:

And I've come to the decision that it is a keeper (for a while at least) and that it deserves to be improved to make it a more enjoyable road car and something for track use too.

But I've no idea where to start, which is hopefully where you guys can come in! I'm signed up on Civic5 too but PH is of course the natural place to begin.

The MOT is next week so that could put a dent in the budget but there's a ballpark figure of £1,500 for now. Priories are suspension and tyres so any suggestions there would be most welcome (I've heard MG ZS V6 parts at the rear are useful). Following that, a bit of brake work would probably be handy, I NEED a new steering wheel and the gear linkage needs a refresh. Engine will stay stock for now bar maybe a filter or something small.

On top of that, garage recommendations to undertake the work would be really appreciated. I lack the required mechanical skills to do the work (they just need you to string a couple of sentences together for a job here!) and require a professional outfit to sort that side of things. If they could offer some advice then that would be an added bonus. I live near the PH office in Teddington so sort of anywhere around the SW London/Surrey area would be grand.

Thanks in advance for your insight, I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
