I currently have a 3 MPS (2009) and love it, but the next car will ideally be 4WD.

I have heard vague rumours about Mazda bringing back the 6 MPS but: there is nothing on the web that I can find.

I would buy one tomorrow if they brought it back!!

Have I just dreamed this up?

No idea sorry, but I will say that a 6 MPS is on my next daily shortlist. Lots of ticks.

I constantly mither my Mazda dealer when my cars in for service on this very matter.
Unfoutunately they know less than me.
I would definately have another 6MPS.

I am hoping not, as I have the original (and currently only!) version of the 6 MPS and love the exclusivity.

There are rumours that if they do another one then it will be a diesel!

I just stumbled across this thread whilst searching for news on new 3 mps. I think the lines of the new 6 are similar to the audi A5, so I reckon an mps, awd, coupe version would go down well. Tbh, i'm still reeling from the horror that the next 3 mps could be n/a with 200bhp......miserable

Where did you read that about the 3 MPS. Anything with 200bhp and no turbo gets a massive thumbs up from me. 9000rpm please Mazda!

There's an article on auto express that mentions a 'rumour' that mazda will ditch turbo, and use a high powered version of petrol 2.0 4cyl...plus could be a fast diesel mps too. The torque of current mps makes it such an easy car to drive, will be sorely missed if they go down this route.

Mmm...I suspect that is wishful thinking. A turbo four would make the new 3 exactly the same as all the other hot hatches. Just pick one you can afford and like the look of. That's it. I just wish someone had the balls to stick two fingers up at the emission regs and put a peach of an NA engine in it and watch it sell.
