Anything specific you need to know? I assume you will know what level if kit they come with as standard.
I've had mine from new coming up to three years of using it as my work car and daily drive.
I've not actually done a lot if miles in it, as I normally do, 30K, but all trouble free.
Not very comfy in the back, but driver and front seat passenger are fine.
Thrashed it around a few circuits, goes well and is capable, I hear people say there a little unrewarding but I enjoy driving it.
Only problem I've had is a magnetic front end, every piece of motorway debris from wagon mudflaps to 4x2 timber seems to have hit it.

Thanks GAjon, thought I would get a few more replies but never mind...
Do you have any knowledge or info on remapping/tuning these cars. Just sold an old Cossie circa 345bhp and i'm thinking of going new skool again!!! Have owned 3 EVO's within the last 10yrs so I fancy summat 260bhp+, but I do like the understated looks of the MPS, just thinking I would like to squeeze a little more power out of it if I bought one...smile

I've no first hand experience of remaps or tuning for these but there was an article on here regarding tuning but I cant find it.
The Mazda MPS forums I believe have lots of stuff with a first stage option which gets around the 320mark resonably cheaply.
Mines a company car so the standard is adequate, and to be honest, its a good engine which you can be quite lazy with which is good for day to day use.
My experience with engine tuning, for my TVR which is also GA Cosworth powered (hence my user name) is you have to sacrifice something for the gain, probably not as much with modern turbo engines than old V6's, but something usually has to give.

BBR are recognised as a tuner of these - circa 310bhp with a remap and filter iirc.

You can also swap the turbo etc for more power.
