Mk3 Supra 3.0i?
Discussion
Anyone any experience of these? Not really popped up on the radar often and I'm off to view one tomorrow.
Are they any good? It's the 3.0i 1988 model. Looks fairly good in the advert but I don't know the first thing about them. Afte something ~£2k that I can insure as a classic and this popped up locally.
Thanks!

Unless its a turbo you might need to manage your expectations of quickness. The 3.0L is torquey but you'd be luicky to see 200hp and its a heavy old henry. The turbo likes to eat headgaskets unless properly looked after, I'm led to believe.
The pick of the bunch are japanese import 2.5L twin turbos.

I ran one for about 5 years, lovely cars. There used to be a specialist breaker in Cornwall who had every spare you could ever need.I loved mine though it wasnt without its problems. If you pulled off the mark quickly at a junction or corner with the clutch at halfway point the diff would sling you instantly 180 degrees, very scary.Happened twice to me.

Still there. Would happily recommend them.
