Hi all, I'm thinking about changing my faithful but ageing Mondeo.
Its replacement must be totally dependable, so I wanted informed opinions re: the Primera, circa 2003-2006.

The car must be a large hatchback, cheap to run and decent to drive too, if possible.

Thanks

Tim

That's the Renault engined one. The previous model is much more reliable and solid.

I haven't driven the later shape but have heard about people complaining about them.

A Mazda 6 or Toyota Avensis may be a much better place to put your money if it's from the same years. If you don't mind looking at the older Primera, you can't really go wrong for shed money.

Some of the older ones weren't too reliable http://www.jamesrford.com/smashntag/

Hi, thanks for the replies. My car is a 2001 and I want to move forward from that year as much as possible.

When a Primera is thought of as unreliable, it makes me realise how good my Mondeo is!

Thanks

Tim
