Independant rear suspension

Hi this is my first post on so here gose.
Im currently doing an mg bgt project in which im putting a nissan ca18det from a s13 and i want to make the rear end independant. a friend of mine said to use a mx5 rear sub n chop n fit the floor to suit which isnt to hard but my question is this. Dose anybody no weather the mx5 diff is the right final drive for the 200sx gearbox n if not dose anyone have a suggestion on an alternative that would fit'ish

Could you not use an S13 read diff, etc. it was multilink if memory serves. Would fit with the gearbox as well.
