Hi Guys smile

I'm in saving mode right now for a new car, and I am jetting towards a Lancer X GS Ralliart. I've heard mixed reviews about the car, and came here to find some more reviews on the car. Even if you don't own one, I'd still like to hear about any gossip you have on them.

Currently I am aware of the high road tax and it'll spend more time in a Petrol station than actually on the road. I test drove one about a week ago, and it was superb. The ride was soft and cabin noise was kept at a minimum and its not short on power. 237ps if I remember correctly. Also heard a replacement clutch on these badboys is around 8 Grand!!?! Is this true or is this car salesman crap talk to get you to buy the warranty?

Anyway, any knowledge you have on this car about any problems its prone to would be greatly appreciated before I sink my savings into one.

Cheers Lads and Ladettes,
Mark

Assuming it's the SST dual-clutch transmission, I'd be surprised if it's that much, but it won't be cheap.

Hairdressers car. Literally. My hairdresser has one.

It has been a catastrophic money pit for him. He says he'd have been bankrupted by it but for the fact he bought it brand new so all the work was done under warranty. As soon as he's paid if off he's getting rid.

He loves driving it but can't wait to see the back of it.

Thinking about buying one of these, anyone got recent experience of one?

Thread revival.

Looking at one of these also.

Was going to go for an evo x for a daily / track car - but now have a mk1 mx5 for track duties so don't need full evo spec.

just struggling to get over the rather awkward rear end.

My advice would be dont - they are not just a 5 door Evo they are not even close.

The running costs are high and (imo) the handling is average at best. Plus the interior is cheap.
