Hi, thinking of buying a Pajero or Shogun as a second car (The 90's Mk2 version).

Now bearing in mind the car wont cover loads of miles - maybe a few trips a year and occasional short journeys during a week, would i be best off buying a V6 petrol version?

With initial purchase price (i guess) being lower, the cost of fuel being cheaper per litre, and the fact that i can't imagine a 2.8litre Turbo diesel Shogun is mega economical in the first place i find myself wanting to source a Petrol Model.

I guess the Petrol cars a harder to source and harder to sell - are they as robust as the Diesel?

Kinda narrows my options on colour, mileage, spec down even further.... Besides, i dont have a 100% trust in LPG systems that have been fitted before my ownership.

petrol without LPG be more reliable! Everyone that I see has headgasket gone, and near enough writes car off... 2.8 diesel better than 2.5, but can still have heads crack etc, auto boxes are a bit hit and miss...

If you can find one, petrol V6 Delica (shogun mechanicals) with manual box... generally used as a people carrier, so less likely to of been abused!
