Becoming very tempted in owning one of these machines. I am looking at something that would be a good vehicle for golfing/dog carrying and up and down to Spain with quite a bit of luggage. I am not tempted by BMWs X range and have always liked the unusual and rare style of the FX.
Any members on here run one of these and can give me an honest opinion of them?
What real mpg will I get out of the diesel on long runs?
Anything to really look out for and any options which would be a must?
Do they all come with sunroofs?
Thanks.

Had one for about 6 months. Nice car to drive better Than the Lexus I had before but not as good as the Cayenne I had before that.
Pros- new car on a good deal from Infiniti. Not many on the road. Looks like a beast and well speccd. Like the Bose stereo.

Cons. Diesel not as good as a BMW. Hesitancy on pulling away. Not very spacious inside. I would worry about taking a lot of luggage on long journeys. Also raked back may make it claustrophobic for a dog.

Honest assessment is it is more of a fashion statement being different and looking good rather than a real practical load lugger. Really depends on what you need it for most. I would definitely recommend you try it for interior space before you commit.

Thanks Dr Mojo
The dog is not large so that should not be too much of an issue, but will check out the load capacity.
The styling is really to my taste vs run of the mill Beemers etc.
What real mpg did you get on a long run?
Thanks again for your comments.

On a long run just about 30 mpg not bad for big car. Around town about 22-23 mpg. Probably not most efficient diesel. Also new and may yet loosen up more.
Mine has sun roof. Executive model or s premium seem to be the ones to go for.
