Been looking at a GTR MY12 with only 2100 miles on it. It`s had it`s first year service at 1800miles which was bang on 12months after reg. but didn`t have the 1200 mile optimisation service. Will this void the warranty does anybody know?

Suggest either a call to Nissan UK (not a dealer) or try the GTR forum at GTR.co.uk

turns out that it wasn`t serviced until 15 moths old at 1800 miles when the gearboc went pop. Nissan did put a new gearbox in it due to low miles, but I don`t think I should purchase it a nissan dealer has told me today they wouldn`t px a gtr without the correct service record

So that`s how to make you £75,000 car worth not very much after 16 months

Gearbox went pop that early in life? Is it modded in any way? Perhaps an abused demonstrator... Stay away imo - plenty of other cars you can get for that kind of money.

One of an MD`s collection of cars who owns the dealership who are selling it. But it`s not a nissan dealership.

Not modded at all! When I expressed my concerns of no warranty due to servicing they did tell me they have already replaced the gearbox, and nissan didn`t have a problem with that. I suspect its been hammered all its short life. Like you say I need to look elsewhere!!

I viewed a GTR that was 17 months old with only 100 miles on the clock. Not from a main dealer. Apparently a collector was seliing it unused.

However, it hadn't had a single service so in theory the warranty could be invalid.

I didn't buy it. Not worth the risk.

FSH is essential on these cars I think.

Should have spoken to Litchfields and taken out their warranty package along with a few mods wink
