Good Evening Everyone

I am really hoping there is someone out there that may be able to help a damsel in distress ...
My 58 plate Toyota Aygo went in for an MOT today and failed! It failed as the rear driver's side wheel bearing is "rough" and therefore needs replacing. This is all fine n dandy - I went and bought another wheel hub as the Aygo bearings are an all-in-one hub part. No problems until it came to removing the old hub - it is rusted on and cannot be shifted! We have sprayed it with WD40, we have used hammers, tried twisting it ... but it will not shift!

Please is there anyone out there who could give some more ideas on how to remove this thing?

I am annoyed that a 58 plate car that has only done 40 thousand miles needs a wheel bearing change already ... and then to add insult to injury, it has rusted itself ... not a happy bunny!

if its the one I think it is (3 bolts, through from the back, ABS sensor built in?) then its just brute force... I have had to use long metal bar (old 1/2" extension bar) and a large hammer to beat it through from behind...

Try Plusgas or GT85 - WD40 isn't the best at freeing up rusted parts.

I too agree that on a car less than 5 years old, you wouldn't expect the bearing to go - or the hub to be that rusty!
