So here i am simply trying to replace the headlight bulb on my Micra, as it went pop. Following the incredibly simple diagram in the handbook should be easy.... unfortunately i have huge hands, that simply don't bend in a manner that allow me to access the the back of the cluster.
My solution: remove the headlight cluster. My problem: After removing the 2 simple hex bolts i noticed another small plastic bolt that attaches the cluster to the inside of the front bumper, this is entirely inaccessible for my stumpy digits. My solution: ignore it and tug the headlight anyway. Momentary success, the headlight moves just enough for me to wedge it forward using the corner of the headlight cluster and the front wing. I can now get my hand round the back of the headlight.
A new problem has now reared it's ugly head, the 'bulb connector' is the first thing that needs removed, it's a small black plastic box which can apparently be removed by had.
My Problem: The little f**ker won't budge, i don't think it's from a lack of finger strength, as i spend most of my free time hanging off rock faces, or climbing walls. My solution: I'm open to suggestions....

HELP PLEASE!

P.S i need it working for tomorrow morning, as i have an exam at 10am in Aberdeen and would like to leave my house for half 7, and it will still be dark :S

There's a little retaining clip on the black plastic connector, press it in and they just pop off. Ask me and my skinned knuckles how I know wink

A week short of five years later, I doubt it's an issue.

However it's one of the top Google results for changing a K12 Micra headlight bulb, ergo useful...

The car is still In the family and I've done it a few times since as my sister now owns it. I now take a pair of tweezers for the bulb removal, the rest is done by swearing and bleeding.
