lol, JUST one turbo And why would you prefer a twin turbo? And do you mean stock or big twin? You know the single route provides a much smoother delivery than the sequential twin set up. And for this power range there is no point in going big twin...more money, more bits to go wrong, more work in the engine bay...all for just the same power. You'd go big twin if you were aiming for closer to the 1000bhp mark.
Are you on the Supra forum Gaz? All the big UK tuners are on it, go ask for yourself.
Even on the stock twins a lot of people convert it from sequential to TTC (true twin conversion, with both coming on boost at the same time). This can be done mechanically or electronically very cheaply. What results has been observed by many to provide a smoother power delivery.
Anyhoo, this car is a bargain for the money its going at. Its not putting out as nearly as much power as it could. The payoff is realiability and driveability. So if it can do that with one turbo, there is no need to add another.

A supra owning pal runs his with two (its well modded to 420bhp).His reckoning-& I agree,in his case,turbo #1 kicks in lower rev range at slightly lower boost,turbo#2 then takes over when the whole show starts singin'.
Idea is you get more of a smooth 'super-charged' type feel,with boost applied thru most of rev range,iirc.Apparently it needs a fair bit of balancing to map it properly tho.

Who says it's reliable? I'm not saying it isn't but when you're tuning any car reliability isn't guaranteed.
It's a very good price to get 650bhp, but what you need to remember is:
1) It's a 10 year old car
2) If the engine goes pop you better have deep pockets...
Guys this used to be my personal car, and I built it. I will gladly answer any questions on it.
As for singles Vs Twins, the singles offer better VFM, and in very many cases better performance. Whilst the theory is there with the big twins, in doesn't seem to work in practice.This car is capable of IMHO 850 bhp at 2 Bar boost on race fuel. It was engine dyno'd with a smaller turbo at 690 bhp with 25psi of Boost. We have built a car here with less of a spec which has run 10.86 1/4 mile.
Knowing what I spent building it, the car is the bargain of the century.

I try to resist, but sometimes I am not as strong as I might like.
And I am the current owner. I bought the car for more than £25,000 and its for sale now for £20,000 and I only bought it about 6 months ago and have done 2,000 miles. Car is extremely reliable. Remember its only being run at 1.2 bar. All the functional enging parts (pistons, rods etc) can handle 1000bhp and are only being run at over 600bhp. The car will produce 850 bhp with the addition of a 4" downpipe and a new mapping for race fuel.
As for longevity, well the mods have done less than 10,000 miles, so are all relatively new. The injectors, pistons and rods have done less than 5,000 miles.
Car was built by JPS Motorsport, the best around for Supras. Ask Leon at JPS if you want a reference for the car. It took 5 years of tuning and replacing parts to get the car to where it is now. Terry who previously owned the car tried part after part to get the very best. Have a look at the spec, then go and see how much the parts cost, then dont forget to add labour costs when you work out how much it cost to build this car. So anyone after a bargain should come and buy it.

If any of the members of this forum went to Ten of The Best 3, then you would have seen the silver supra which lost in the overall final. That car was built by Terry's new company Vortex, and Terry was responsible for the parts in my car, and as he has mentioned above, the spec is better on my car. It is a complete car, no expense spared.
This car is quoted at 650 hp , thats nothing compared to what it could be with decent fuel and everything turned up to kill mode, at 1.1 bar (it can run 2.2) it is a genuine 200mph car on road fuel , my car runs 10's all day and it has never been so economical , i use it everyay and the only thing worth racing are bikes , if anyone wants one of the fastest TRUE road cars in the UK then go buy Nicks car ..... before i do !!!!
