Ta very muchly!

Will get the rods most likely next month, from a company called Arrow (did the golf ones) and are off the shelf items for the Mr2 Turbo (same engine).
Should allow excursions into 9K territory...... but really must do the shimless bucket conversion and Delwest titanium valves also! must do it.

must do it ,or MUST do it.
My wallet knows this feeling.Modding cars is a very strange addiction-limited logic?definatelyI spent close to £10k on modding this Vectra SR1 uch: -I was about to spend another £4.5-5K on a turbo conversion for it-when sanity returned.
-I sold it to a guy from Scotland & bought a Skyline ...oops

Conclusion? Youre as mad as a fish. Still, so am i....ribbit, bleep..ding ding!

Yes i MUST do it. Simply have to change those parts that are the weak link in the power production chain.
Actually the rods may well be up to the task, but id really not like to risk it, hence the need to swap em for something a little more....exotic.
The present turbo is capable of pumping enough air for 380+bhp, yet the pistons that are fitted start cracking skirts at around 16psi. Running close at 14-15psi for months now without any drama, but then i dont tend to rev it too hard. Hopefully thatll change with the new parts.

Sweet new bits. Shame the bling is locked away on the inside (as it should be, no rice here - move along quietly).

Nothing sad about touching or even caressing stuff like that. I remember a bloke bringing some ceramic rotor tips along to a pub meet (£1600 quid for a few bits of pottery!!!) and we were all impressed. Wouldn't let up play with them though.

Very nice indeed.

I want some. Actually, I really want the Jun 2.2 stroker kit. That's automotive pornography, not engine parts.

Priced accordingly.
