Ran with a Evo VI(?) today.

Nice little dice over some good dual carriageway. Lovely dump, psssshhhh sounds. It must have been tricked up a little, because the exhaust was effin' HUGE, bloody hell it was fast, and loud. I think I about had the legs on it (in a Noble 3R), but it was 3 up!!!
This was near Garston, Watford today. Anyone here??

d/c= dual carriageway.
If you 'just' beat him, he must have roughly the same bhp/kg as you = 470bhp at the fly.
Cripes, that's a lot! The dual carriageway was around Garston/St. ALbans, A405 and M10 and around there mostly.
Its nice when people give you a run but don't actually try and kill a) you, or b) themselves in order to prove they are fastest. At the end it was just big thumbs up from us both, and goodbye.

This doesn't surprise me greatly.
The on road ability of EVOs VI onwards (and probably the Vs too) remains one of the most vivid off-track experiences to-date, that I've experienced.
The legend of the EVO seems to have diminished a little in recent months as the penchant for hyper cars has returned to a much welcomed home in the pysches of our favourite motoring media: not that long ago, I was probably like many PHers, jaded by the inevitable monthly ding dong 'twixt latest EVO and that week's Scooberoo offering in the various journals...
But I'll never forget CAR magazine when the 996 Turbo was at launch - it's counterpart in contemplation of parity within the banzai-forth firmament came not from Maranello or Sant Aagata but in the spirit of the uberhoon, in the guise of the then B-road champ par excellence, the EVO VI Tommy Makkinen Hayabusa Zero Fighter.
Shocking cars, whatever your poison.

Agreed 100%.Was at Castle Coome track yesterday with Japanese car club.Especially in the torrential wet the Evo's cornering was massively more impressive than any other car there.
I'm converted...
