Any chance of a quick demo?

I live in Worplesdon, just outside Guildford.

Cheers.

Dan, there are a number of RX-7 in the Guidlford area, try FDUK. I would offer myself but the car is of-road at the mo for some tinkering.

quick question- ive heard that the RX7 is rated as a 2.6litre or something like that by most insurance company's. why is that when its only really a 1.3. something to do with the turbo setup?

Nope, nothing to do with the turbo , its how rotaries work - cant directly compare cc to piston engines.

In piston engines (4 stroke) each cylinder only fires every 2nd rotation, in rotaries each side of the rotor fires every rotation (3 per rotation) but the rotor only moves 1/3rd the speed of the output shaft (i.e. 3000rpm at 9000rpm).

It gets complicated and you can caculate a 1.3 rotary as a 3.9litre or 2.6litre. Its been 'agreed' by the power that be that its 2x its cc, i.e. 2.6l
