Civic 1 to 2 hiccups
Discussion
When cold: the '95 1.3 (ha) Civics does not shift smooth from 1 to 2. After a 10 mins everything is fine.
In tight corners the carb (which is nice) seems to have problems getting the mix in the 4pot (which is not nice). The result is hiccups and I can't have that. Garage did check the auto choke which helped bits.
Maybe you can help me out.

for the transmission, try changing the oil, sounds like a poor syncro.
and for the carb, if it's only in corners have a look to see if the needle valve on the float is free. as the fuel swishes over to one side of the chamber, the needle could be sticking shut causing temp fuel starvation.

It was the last carbbed Civic lump. Mine is a march '95er.
