I own a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST Convertible. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any other owners in the UK as I would be interested in joining an owners club?
In the 10 years I have owned it, I have only seen a handful on the roads in this country.

I own a 2003 Eclipse GTS Spyder and would love to find a club to ride along with. The closest cousin to the eclipse would be the FTO. Not sure how much the FTO club would like to see an eclipse. If anyone around the south east would like to arrange an eclipse meet you can count me in! I was at Santa Pod for the jap show last weekend and it was a real head turner. Most people have never seen one.

There was a black spyder at Santa pod last weekend.

Was that you? You looked like you we're looking for your stand.

The FTO is quite a different car. Built in Japan for the Japanese market whereas the Eclipse is built in the US for the US market albeit with Japanese parts. I gather the parts etc are very different. The FTO's are relatively common whereas clearly the Eclipse in the UK is not!
Would love to join an Eclipse meet if it is arranged. It does amaze me so few are here despite other US cars being relatively common.

Try the 3000GT / GTO forums, I'm on GTOOC and a lot of members are also on the US sites as they have the VR4 and Eclipse over there. Always liked the look of the Eclipse.

Probably the closest UK site for your car is evo123com

A few US owners with Eclipse cars pop in from time to time.

Haha. Yeah that was me. I have it in the shop now to finish painting the front bumper and fenders. I was kinda lost out there since it was my first time at santa pod. We also brought a subaru legacy and R33 GTS-T out there. Ill be at the USC at santa in august.

I saw you driving by us over by the EVO123 and Proton Owners stands.

I was kind off on both stands as my Proton Hatch has EVO Awd running gear.

That's the same 4g63 engine fitted to he DSM clipse.

Yupp. Unfortunately mine is a non turbo 4G72. I have the 3.0 6 cylinder. Not slow but not quick either. Fun to drive and very good looking but it is definitely not a track car. Im still looking for a club to join around the cambridgeshire or suffolk areas that I can put it on the stand with. I joined the Evo123 forum the other day but I haven't proposed bringing it to a show. Its looking better and better every day now.

Go onto Evo123 and reach out to some of the DSM guys in the states for help.
