Hi All, I am new to piston heads, been a follower for years, but never got around to creating an account until today...
I have recently bought a MKI 1991 Mitsubishi GTO 3.0 Auto n/a. I have wanted one for years to keep for myself (not just to sell on), and this one is looking to be the one. The body work/underside/engine bay are all litterally as new, still with shiny nuts and bolts underneth. Its like a fresh import except its been in the country since 2004. I have joined the GTOUK owners club, and have gotten some brilliant information from there.

What I was wondering was; can anyone advise of any problems to look out for, I have asked on GTOUK and I am just wanting to get as much information from as broad a groupe of owners as possible. I am very mechanically minded, and have already rebuilt the automatic gearbox, changed timing belt / water pump etc... So im not scared to get my hands dirty and investigate things. I am great beleiver in preventitive maintanance...

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Oil pressure lights have a random habit of coming on, linked to a lack of oil pressure in the galeries.


It's no problem as they are an absolute joy to work on..........

Have a look at the gto owners club, which is another big (free) forum with loads of information and friendly people to help.
