Cambelt Change MX5

I think my cambelt is due a change, 51k on the clock. Its a Mk1.
Does anyone know how much it costs to get it done?

Cambelt itself costs about £40-50. I'd expect to pay about £150 fully fitted.

The mx5 has a non-interference engine, so you don't need to worry about engine damage if it snaps. With that in mind I'd wait until it was coming up to 60000 miles change interval and get the full service done at the same time. Service and cambelt change togther should come out at around £300.

Neil, just had a full service done at 49k (the last service appeared to be a long time ago) and he said at the time that it would need doing at 54k, so by the time I get to 60k my next service should need doing, i'll time it in with that.
