RX7 FD3S 4pot brakes any good?

I'm thinking about having a very competent fabricator i know make some brackets up so i can fit FD3S 4pot callipers to my MX5, with Corrado G60 280mm discs. (i know that constitutes a reduction in disc size compared to what the callipers are designed for).
Anyway, we think it's going to be possible. I'm happy to give it a go and risk being out of pocket if it doesn't work out.
The question is, will it be worth it? Are the brakes any good to begin with?
The car is my daily driver but i also intend to do some track days.
