Not sure if this is the right place to post...

Looks like it lost control and hit something backwards on approach to the A406/A13 junction at Beckton, E london this morning

Maybe ist just the camera angle, but unless he was reversing, it looks to me form the picture like his/her brakes were much better than the car travelling immediately behind?

Having driven one of these, I cant see how he/she could of lost control at the speeds low enough to only inflict circa 30mph damage.

Speed scrubbed off before final collision?

Possibly.
Did it look that way from the surrounding area? Skid marks, kerb damage etc??

If they did loose it, then it was a real waste of a good car on a poor driver.
(although you could say that about an F1 driver when they have an off, and driving is their day job).

There were skid marks which indicated that, couldn't see any kerb damage as there were too many cars around. It's a bit of a blackspot as there is a long straight and then a roundabout with some strange camber which can be unsettling.

Looks to me like another car has gone into the back of it. The surface of the crunch is pretty much flat but deeper towards the rear left corner, which indicates something slamed into the back left. Maybe didn't see it or under estimated its sudden braking whilst changing lanes...?

Was it Stefan Mucke's GTR and Richard Westbrook's van?

Way to jump to conclusions...
Is this the Daily Mail, where any collision involving a "flash car" is automatically the "rich driver"'s fault?

Odd comment. He did, didn't he? Or did you somehow think he was speaking on your behalf? confused
