Good luck with your search. Funnily enough the guy I sold my FX50 to recently contacted me as he's looking to sell. It's the car I started this thread about, pictures of it are at the beginning. It's got full wheat interior and a lovely car!
If it's of interest I. Could put you in touch

Thanks for the kind offer all, however I put a deposit down on one today after a 7 week search. If it's of interest I. Could put you in touch
I'm picking it up next Thursday, and really looking forward to getting it...
I'll post a photo once I collect it, with custard if required...?
One previous owner with 16K miles, Premium model with wheat Interior, can't wait....
My last Cayenne just had steel springs not air, hence I found the Infiniti ride pretty comfortable. I'm sure you don't need me to say I expect the Infiniti running costs to be cheaper than my Cayenne...!!

I have just sold the family car and on the lookout for a replacement. I have the opportunity to buy an Infiniti FX 5.0 for a very reasonable price. Does anyone run one on here?
Your ownership experiences would be helpful before I jump in with both feet!
Lack of dealers / repair outlets turns me off ever buying one, i do like the rare factor as well as the spec they pack inYour ownership experiences would be helpful before I jump in with both feet!
but a no from me.

Hi folks, I've been thinking of an FX for a while now to replace my Porsche Cayenne, can I ask what MPG you are getting on urban and motorway driving in everyday use....? I've averaged 15 MPG in my Cayenne over the past 3 years so it's not a big concern... LoL..
Just reading back through this thread, and I originally thought about purchasing an FX/QX70. On 3rd January 2014....!!I'd be interested in the DRL's that "Wookiestaff" inserted in place of his front fog lamps, that and the Sat-nav updates if still available for £99.00...? TIA...!!

Called me as well.
He really doesn't want to, but he's just changed jobs and the new company are very specific on what you can and cant have
It's a shame, i would have happily bought it back a few months ago as we needed a larger car again. I ended up buying an M3.5 h (q70 hybrid) which has turned out to be a brilliant family car.He really doesn't want to, but he's just changed jobs and the new company are very specific on what you can and cant have
Thinking of playing with mine a bit.
Swerni,do you know if the handles and other trims on yours are painted black or maybe wrapped?
Also any idea what make the exhaust is? I could easily go custom but don't want drone so treading carefully.
Thinking about lowering springs too like the Vettel edition so if anyone has info please jump in.

Yes it was a 16 plate car.
Tricky trying to value these things, I'm guessing the market for 6 litre V8 Jeep is about as small as a 5 litre FX.. prices seem to vary considerably!
Entry money seems to be circa 30k for a 13/14 plate car, can't make my mind up if the FX is better value, trouble is the rear room and boot in the FX is so much more limited

My biggest gripe with the FX50 was the ride, in particular joining an A road on my commute from driving uphill on a B road the crossing of the camber was vicious.
I am now in an old (2007) Cayenne with air suspension and the difference is huge - maybe worth a try? GTS seems pick of the bunch but not all have air, the switchable sports exhaust is sublime.

A Roof box is an option for the FX I guess, I had an Infiniti branded one on my old car, but they are noisy!
The Cayenne is a lovely car DS but I'd be back to running a car outside of warranty with my budget (probably) after the ludicrous warranty position with Infiniti, I'd be keen to buy something that I could keep in warranty..
