Started my car yesterday, normal system checks run....

Red triangle pops - "Urgent SRS Failure" on the LCD display. In addition Red Airbag light permanently lit.

Quick call to Aston Assistance - who to be fair were spot on. AA out the afternoon to take a quick look, who in turn spoke to Aston UK. No fix possible onsite & its on its way to Aston Reading this morning to be looked at properly.

Bad news means no Aston Vantage for the Bank Holiday weekend. Looks like Royal Wedding watching for me...

On a plus point, it amused the neighbours and people in the street no end. No doubt it will bring a few smiles to people on the way from Horsham to Reading on the back of an AA recover van.

Had the same problem last year, which turned out to be a faulty relay connection, quickly fixed by Lancasters Reading.

You would think Aston would provide a high quality neutral cover to the AA so that nobody could tell what type of car it was.

Must be a bit embarrassing for AM to have their vehicles on such a transporter frown

That ^^^^^ is a very very good suggestion. When my car was picked up it was in an enclosed truck.

However, that was by AM and not the AA. Sod Astons embarrassment, what about ours with the neighbours curtains twitching.

Was picking my V8V from the dealer yesterday, with the salesman saying how reliable they are and how he's never seen one break down. Right on cue, an AA flatbad drives onto the forecourt with a V8V on-board! Superb timing!

Back in the good old back old days - nearly all Astons went to their dealer on a trailer. When I enquired why - the response was to cut down on annual milage.

FFS.

Glad you guys actually buy them to drive them biggrin
