Headed over to Bala, and then down to Trawnsfynydd, onto Blaenau Ffestiniog, then Betws-y-coed for lovely fish and chips... set off again for Llanrwst, from there to Abergele then the A55 home
British? Looks like a bunch of random letters thrown together - except the fish and chips bit!Neil1300R said:

Now, now Neil...if I didn't know that you were such a top bloke, I might suggest you were playing devil's advocat Yup, the borders do carry on past Carlisle, Oswestry, Welshpool, etc.
England does indeed personify Britain, but Scotland, Wales & NI put the 'Great' in - it's an added value kind of thing.
Quinny's Welsh is also exemplary (only one letter too many) and must have taken a lot of negotiating on the keyboard.
Masterchef now...New York...bottle of Margaux...
well, well well, just noticed mr slim saying he liked seeing me in rear window and losing me in corners, well if he wasnt such a weight watching girl,he would of had real fish and chips off the adults menu and not opted for the small fish off childs menu,we all know about power to weight ratios and with me in my tvr it weighs about the same as a cheiftan tank :lolnly joking ,have driven Aston over horse shoe pass, and its handling and brakes ,are as Andy says in a different league.that said Tvr is more challenging to drive fast and you cant switch off for a minute.Aston alot easier to sit back and relax well still covering ground at fair pace. And it looks so nice on road
We had a couple of days in Betws last week.
Drove up the middle of Wales and turned left at Newtown, up past Dolgellau on the way up. On Weds drove 2/3rds of the Evo triangle (the long bits not the A5)) and then cut around in a loop to Trawsfynydd and the Porthmadog to Caernarvon Castle. After a visit we went to Beddgelert for a cream tea! Then back to Betws.
On the way home we went via Llangollen and the Horse Shoe Pass.
All roads superb and mostly car free; weather lovely;Aston...excellent!

Nice on Oblio...... Midweek really is the best time to enjoy these roads...... NO weekend warriors, and not much in the way of "authority"
Plenty of sheep though
Just wanted to say - loved the write up, especially compared to a TVR. Not knocking TVR's, especially here, just great to see people stating the AM V8Vantage is not exactly slow!Plenty of sheep though
Still not convinced you didn't stick a load of consanants together and make up place names though
A fantastic neck of the woods, beautifully scenic, although I can't say I know the roads as well as those bl**dy mountains...ooh the blistered feet.Post us up a good driving route I'd love to get back out there.
