Does it take to make an Aston interior? smile
Noticed a bit of scuffing on the edge of the drivers seat and the door jam, so decided to clean and condition all of the leather in the interior. Blimey there's a lot! Made me appriciate (again) the workmanship that goes into these cars. Had forgotten the level of detail - even the inside of the map pocket is leather lined and even in there the stiching is perfect.
The only downside was ensuring no conditioner went on the coarse silver stitching - tried it on a small patch and it darkens it up slightly.
No real point to the post just wanted to say I cloud9 my interior

I may well be wrong but thought they were from Argentina as they don't have barbed wire out on the Pampas.

To further muddy the waters I believe they get their leather from the Scottish company "Bridge of Weir"

From a factory visit I believe Bridge of Weir supply AML with their leather. True they source from suppliers who don't use barbed wire for fences but from their website it looks like Bridge's supply chain has now gone global. I haven't a clue how many cows it takes though....

Edit It seems someone else was quicker.biggrin

Had a tour of Gaydon last week. The Vantage takes 6 hides. Not only do Bridge of Weir have no barbed wire, but being in the north of Scotland, it is colder hence there are less mosquitoes, which can damage the hide!...if you believe all they tell you anyway!...see - at least I was paying attention!!

Scotland may not have mosquitoes but its swarming with midges! Lots of barbed wire last time I was in Scotland.
So 6 hides in a Vantage- must be 3/4 more in the DB9 / DBS.
