Today, I've been impulsive.....
Discussion
Following on from MG's ('I've got an itch' thread) the allure of the DBS Volante was just too much and the sensibilities of my OH beaten to an absolute pulp.....Consequently, I take delivery in a bout a week
If you're reading this Michael then my only suggestion is to stay away from showrooms as resistance is futile

It's Quantum Silver with Obsidian (which I know will please Murph ). MY10 with 1,500 miles on the clock so, as near as damn it, it's new especially as part of the deal was to fix all blemishes and add Armourfend to the front.
The noise with the roof down is sensational! To be fair, it must have been the easiest sale ever done...totally smitten. Starting the car was an event with the ECU shooting out of the hole....all I could think of was 'sh*t, these things cost a fortune' as it dropped onto the centre console and remembering a previous thread on PH's
I'll pass on the comments to the OH, she will be pleased, although anyone would've thought I'd posted half naked shots up of the old girl
My thoughts, especially to Zod, are that we're a long time dead so may as well have fun whilst we're here. The journey we've both taken, from the old days on BM3W to Aston ownership has been a progressive one and thank God we're fortunate enough to have the opportunity to participate......in other words, get yourself down to Stratstones, you can always say 'no' when you're there....or perhaps, like me, you can't!
p.s. Cygnet update, one was apparently sold for £46k

Looks stunning. Im come from the same myself via BM3W which was a godsend when I bought my M3.
Im taking mine to Ricks in a fortnight for a service and a little fettle. Had thought about popping into Stratstones but I think id better not now or it might prove more expensive than planned
Congrats and well done.
Very very nice, looks like Broughtons if I'm not mistaken! A fine choice in both car and colour, somewhat biased perhaps as I have a quantum DBS coupe. Currently on a Roadtrip through northern Spain and up though France. Talk about turning heads, my OH has taken to waving as if she is royalty! Enjoy the car, I've been insan Sebastian for 2 days and I'm itching to get back behind the wheel tomorrow. I must admit I do have a small volante itch...

Coupes only for me fortunately. Too bald for anything else.
That explains, finally, your GTB (rather than GTS) fetish though not the one you have for all things 'Tubi' mblade123 said:

Seems there may be a few of us on here. I still pop into m3torque.co.uk, where many of the previous guys migrated to, although I'm hardly active on there tbh. I guess I'm hoping to discover what became of my old Estoril M3.bananarob said:

Spot on Rob. It's about a three hour round trip for us but definitely worth it Have a great and safe journey back...weather's on the turn from Tuesday
Thought as much, was it Howard or Rachel you dealt with? Be interested in your experience going from what I'm guessing is the 4.7 coupe to the DBS as I did exactly that. I was sad watching it driven away which lasted a subsequent 30 seconds of driving her replacement! Enjoy the wait!!
