Dead GSM Phone (DB9)

This morning I discovered the phone ON/OFF/STBY button was dead. The SIM card works in mobile phone and the radio and CD player are behaving normally, however the Satnav will not respond to any of the user control panel buttons. Has anybody experienced a similar problem?
