Just been sitting outside a pub enjoying an afterwork half and an untidy XK drove very slowly past, with the 'Bond' theme blaring out. Youngish guy, but old enough to know better.
Speechless, which in itself is a miracle for me.
I have to ask myself why would somebody do that?
Though, it was entertaining in a strange way, but not the way I reckon he thought.

I have to confess to doing that quite a lot in my Esprit but I was always laughing my head off at the time. At no point was I trying to look 'cool'.
However it is a stunning piece of music and really evocative to drive to (er not too loud with the windows up down a quiet country lane with no-one around), as long as you have a car that actually was featured in a bond film, which I suppose you have to say does go for the XK too.
No as a 'notice me dammit' move it's tragic (like all notice me dammit moves really). The birdie song would be cooler. But for a private moment in the right car among friends, it has to be done.

It's half five you goon.
It was meant as a joke - it was sitting, having a drink, before half five when Di works in an industry that probably means she rarely leaves as early. Here I am talking on the internet and its still only 5.42 so what do I know. lady topaz said:

At least he wasn't in an Aston. That would have been emetic.Speechless, which in itself is a miracle for me.
