Finally put down a deposit on a year old V8V. Just thought I'd share my joy! smile
100% bullst-free zone at the dealer, and they were so nice I forgot to haggle!

Anyway, pictures will appear when I pick her up just after Easter.

Woohoo!

Congrats mate! There is that special something when buying an Aston.
By the looks of ur login name you're moving from Porsche to Aston?
I made that move last year and after having my Aston for a while now it makes porsche seem distinctly average!

Actually been out of Pork for a while. RS4's been the daily drive recently. Chopping the wife's SLK in for the Aston, and keeping the RS4 for a while, so result there!

Any tips for what I should check when I collect the car?
There a list of things they're rectifying which obviously I'll be ticking off, but anything else I should look out for such as things which should come with the car?

Hi and welcome.

Firstly check the paint.

When I went to pick up my 1st V8 the muppets had cleaned it with a sponge full of grit. Looked great from a distance but I was so pissed off when I saw it. Yes it was rectified but it took away that 1st 'wow' feeling.

Make sure you get all the keys and 'tracker tags' and that they have been sorted.

Whip out fuse 22, take lots of pics, stop grinning like an imbecile and enjoy.

Go for a long drive, note all local petrol stations, check wallet, then think 'sod it' I am having the time of my life.

That must've been a sickener with the paint!
The tracker's "tagless", so no worries there, and fuse 22 should have already been whipped by the time I collect it ...
