Looking at buying a used V8V. Obviously I'm keeping an eye on PH Classified and Autotrader - where else is good to keep an eye on?

Aston Martin "used" section seems like a logical choice....

May sound daft but Fleabay is good too. When I was looking I spoke to one specialist dealer who said most of their high end sales (Aston, Porsche, Ferrari) recently had come about due to eBay adverts.

With nearly 200 just on here in the classifieds it might be wise to narrow your search to what you want. 4.3/4.7, Coupe/Roadster, colour, exterior/interior. Special model N400, age, mileage, price, part ex, etc etc.

Nothing worse than too much choice, you start to find fault with each car you view.

At least it can't be said you aren't spoilt for choice.

As its a specialist car I lean towards a dealer for the supposed safety of a warranty extension, but thats up to you.

Good luck

Not sure where you live but I would 100% recommend Broughtons in Cheltenham. Ask for Rachel, she was spot on . I could not fault anything. Nothing else to add !

Broughtons have a nice looking black N400 in at the moment. Low mileage and all necessary options.
They called me about it but I'm after a 4.7.

Yeah that one's great, but looking for more of a higher mileage as it brings the price down significantly. I only do 5k per year max, so will average down quite quickly.

5k/year is actually on the high side for an Aston wink
Don't buy on mileage buy on condition. I looked at a low mileage 4.7 roadster that had lived out side for the whole of its like it had some reall corrosion issues frown
I bought a "high" mileage 18 month old car for the same money that looked brand new!

This one looks great but reviews of the dealer (and looking at vast line up of cars from 1k to 100k) makes me want to avoid it liek the plague which is a shame:

They've had that a while.
I've visited the place looking at SLK55AMG's a while back.
It's all a bit "" and tucked away in a semi derelict industrial estate.
Cars are not well prepared and they are not very helpful.
As you say avoid.
