Hi all,
Has anyone else had any problems with the door locks on their V8V ?
For the past couple of weeks, when I lock up the car, either the driver side or the passenger side doesn't lock. When I unlock and relock, the other door remains unlocked - this goes on and on alternating sides for a while...

I have seen the thread on the DB9 locks and tried unlocking and locking 3 times with the key, and also tried the other fob, but no luck.

People are probably watching me saying 'look at that paranoid Aston owner' as I go from one side of the car to the other checking and rechecking the doors - I hate to think about how many times I left the car open before I noticed that both doors weren't locking !!! eek

Glad I have taken the extended warranty aswell then.
Did they replace the actual locks or the control unit or is there one in each door ?

Just spoke to Lancaster Reading and they are going to order new mechanisms for both sides and have booked in for next Friday.
Will let you know how it goes.
Cheers...

this just started happening to me (again)... I had a similar problem in the past, although I swear it wasn't quite as bad, but rick fixed that for me by reflashing the locks. I just had a service done and now they've stopped locking again - and it really does alternate, I swear that didn't happen last time!

Had mine fixed yesterday and they ended up changing both latches. I had it done under warranty, but asked for the invoice anyway for the service history.
The latches themselves were only £63.45 + VAT each.
The labour would have been the killer at £375 + VAT (I am sure this would be cheaper elsewhere)
