Bloody Powerfold Mirrors!

They've been fine for last few months, took the car for a run tonight (1st in a week) and powerfold has died again.... just to clarify it's a dealer-only quick fix only right?
And i don't suppose anyone has a reason for them dying? - Had a new battery just before Xmas, and has been good as gold, up until tonight for no reason... Annoying!

And to edit... i'm really just asking for any preventative methods, as my local dealer is 40miles away and it's a pain in the arse!
