So after 18 months and 15k miles of pure ecstasy with my 06 V8V, it is being rehomed tomorrow. Naturally I am gutted to lose it, but economic circumstances dictate the capital is better paid off the mortgage right now.

Will miss the noise, the permanent smile every time I got into it and the whole experience of driving such a brilliant car. Will also miss lip reading other drivers and pedestrians.."Wow, look at that, it's an Aston Martin".

I'll miss probably the finest example of customer service I have ever experienced in Rick and the team at DMS. If only they serviced all makes! I'll also miss this forum - really friendly and knowledgeable, so thanks for all the advice (hell, I'll still lurk around I expect).

Had no problems selling it, even considering it's a relatively high miler (41k) - I used a local guy in Derby who sold it really quickly for me.

So, goodbye my friend, one day I will be back in a relative of yours, the V12V!

Don't want to intrude on private grief but I am curious - what are you going to be driving ?

So sorry to hear of your loss. Just keep thinking about all the good times you shared with her weeping

From the sublime to the ridiculous - until I get something else I'll pootle round in the dog's (by which I do refer to my canine) car; a 12 year old Rover 214! A car with such classic features as electric sunroof and manual windows.

And just think, people will still go "wow" as you drive past. Those Rovers are rare these days.
