A "new" 4.7 V8V for SLINC

Hi PHers.

For those that know me just thought I'd let you know that my beloved 4.3 has been replaced by a 4.7.
I will of course be changing the cats, exhaust, air bell housings, air filters and ECU mapping in due course !!
The results will be posted up on completion.

Thought I'd also share a few photos of the chariot as I've already had EMERALD DETAILING give it an initial treat.
I had the detailer (Francis) recommended to me by Rick @ DMS and he did a fantastic job.
The work involved the removal of the protection film (hate the stuff and ruined the look of the car) plus a full detail)

One of the nicest v8's ive seen in a long while. It looked awesome in the flesh.

Very very smart! I will be most interested to know how successfull your proposed mods will be. Are you going to dyno it before and after? I have asked Pro Drive if they are going to produce a 4.7 upgrade cos my dealer says they are. They of course deny it.

Yeah I plan to get dyno runs for each upgrade and will be posting up the final results.
Managed to get an extra 45bhp & 35lbft from the previous 4.3, although that included the AM PP.
So hoping for a bolt on of 25 & 20 with the 4.7
Vantage S territory!!

VERY!
I suppose it's the same as a 4.7 vs a 4.3 as the power figures I ended up with pretty much matched the former.

Thanks! My best friend is a scouser, but I've never heard him use that one. He must be too "americanized."

Did you px your old car or private sale?

If private I hope the new owner knows what a great car they are getting with all the mods you did. If px'd then there is a rather improved 4.3 up for grabs for anyone in the market.
